Yesterday Foo Fighters returned to Pukkelpop, exactly one year after the festival was struck by extreme weather causing the cancellation of the remainder of the festival, including Foo Fighters highly anticipated performance.
Kicking off with White Limo, the band immediatly switched to high gear and the jam packed festival ground was treated to a 130 minute blasting rock show.
“Did you know Pukkelpop is the first festival I ever played, 21 years ago. I was in a band nobody cared about…” Dave said, reflecting on his time with Nirvana.
During Dear Rosemary and Learn To Fly, the band was joined onstage by Bob Mould, who played an excellent set in the Marquee earlier that day.
Dave dedicated These Days to the victims of last year’s event and talked about how the band received the news about the storm and the unfortunate consequences on their way to the festivalground.
Again, it proved to be another great rock show containing songs from all records and two covers. The complete set can be found on setlist.fm. We dont want to spoil the surprise if you are planning to see any of the remaining dates of this short european summer tour.
Quote (about Nate): “He ‘s not bad… he’s not good … he’s the best f*cking bass player… in the Foo Fighters ever”
